Kali NetHunter KeX is currently operational on Android Radio, hinting at forthcoming support for Android Auto. The Kali website has undergone an update, introducing new features and enhancements, such as a 64-bit image for Raspberry Pi 5 and a 6.12-based kernel for USB Armory MKII.

Linus Torvalds has announced the release of the first release candidate for Linux kernel 6.16, marking the end of the merge window and the start of testing and fixing the new code. The merge window was fairly normal, with a slight upward bump at the end of the second week. The non-driver front consisted of one-third arch updates, one-third documentation and tooling (perf tool and self-tests), and one-third "the rest". The last part includes core changes in filesystems, core kernel, MM, networking, etc.

AnduinOS has announced the release of new builds of their Windows 11-inspired Linux distribution based on Ubuntu Linux featuring various fixes and enhancements. The latest build, version 1.3.2, integrates libfuse2t64, libfuse3-3, and libopengl0 to offer native support for AppImage. It also includes power-profiles-daemon for managing power profiles and the Intel thesofproject/sof-bin firmware to ensure compatibility with the latest Intel audio devices. A pin file has been established to restrict the upgrading of software-properties-gtk and base-files.

The build 1.2.5 resolves localization issues, incorporates the en_GB locale into the default locale list to accommodate British English, and rectifies a problem where the installer ubiquity does not adhere to the system theme. The package cracklib-runtime has been incorporated to improve password security.
